I'm Praveen. I run a small studio in HSR Layout — printing pet tags, NFC bars, and one-off custom pieces for people across India. By day I work with data. By night and weekends, the printer runs.
How it started
Thingness started when a printer arrived in February.
The Bambu Lab A1 + AMS turned up at my apartment one Saturday in early 2026. By Sunday afternoon, the dining table was a print farm. Within a month, friends were asking for custom pieces — a name plate, a pet tag, a desk dummy for someone's manager.
By April, I had a name for it — Thingness — and a small studio corner in HSR Layout. By day I'm a data analyst. By night, I'm running multi-colour PLA prints, sealing NFC chips inside waterproof PETG, and packing orders headed to Chennai, Kochi, and back streets of Bangalore.

The studio
Two printers, two plastics, no shortcuts.
Every Thingness object is printed on a Bambu Lab A1 + AMS and a Bambu Lab P2S Combo in HSR Layout, Bangalore. Multi-colour PLA for the parts you see — name plates, shells, decor. UV-stable PETG for the parts that take a beating — pet tags, luggage tags, anything sealed around an NFC chip.
No mystery resins. No outsourced print farms. If you ordered it, our printers made it.

Most of our orders fly south.
We've shipped to almost every state, but the cluster is unmistakable — Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kochi, Hyderabad. Pet tags, luggage tags, custom prints for office onboarding kits in Whitefield, dragon toys headed to Kakkanad, name plates packed off to Mylapore.
